* Groomer:
Nestlé Purina is hiring for a Groomer at our PTC facility in St. Joseph, Missouri. Enjoy ongoing learning and training opportunities, while ensuring quality care for pets including feeding, grooming, and socialization within the facility.
Primary Responsibilities
• Knowledge of compliance with the Animal Welfare Act and all procedures and protocols in the Nestlé Purina R&D Petcare Manual
• Adherence to Nestlé Quality Management Systems (QMS) and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP)
• Daily grooming, nail trimming, bathing, ear cleaning, and maintenance of pets
• Accurate and reliable data entry
• Provide socialization programs for pets
• Report to the veterinary staff any unusual behaviors or sick animals observed
• Maintain a safe, clean, and sanitary work environment and practice safety in the workplace
• Actively participate in training and skill development as needed
Basic Requirements
• High School Diploma (or GED) or equivalent
• 1+ years experience with animal husbandry and regular care of animals
* Pilot Plant Technician:
Nestlé Purina is hiring for a Pilot Plant Technician at our PTC facility in St. Joseph, Missouri. You will encounter new challenges by prepping new formulas, performing trials, and gaining necessary skills to help you excel in this developmental position.
- Maintain equipment in good sanitary and working condition
• Organize and record data as outlined in the pilot plant request
• Prepare summaries of trial results with recommendations for processing/product improvements based on observations
• Working skills and knowledge of equipment and unit operations in the pilot plant
• Adhere to all facility policies concerning safety, security, Good Laboratory and Good Manufacturing Practices (GLP & GMP)
• Provide hands on support to Project Leaders, Pilot Plant Team Members, and others in pilot plant with preparation, execution, follow up, review and process improvement with trial work
• Light mechanical repair/plumbing as required
• Reviews/Updates standard operating procedures
Requirements
• High school diploma (or GED)
• Ability to become a licensed forklift operator
Other
• Working knowledge of factory pet food/food processing equipment and operations is preferred
