Casino General Manager
Iowa Tribe of Kansas and Nebraska Job Opening We are looking to fulfill a Full Time General Manager for White Cloud Casino General Manager is responsible for the efficient, successful and profitable operations of Casino White Cloud. Must plan, develop, and establish the objectives of the gaming operation with the approval of the Tribal Council. The GM is responsible for and manages all phases of the gaming operation, ensures the gaming operation is in complete compliance with the directives of the Tribal Council, and the Tribe/State Compact Ordinances.
Qualifications/Experience: * Minimum of 5 years casino management experience in a gaming industry. * Strong extensive knowledge of Indian Gaming preferred. * Experience in slot machines, bingo, and food and beverage operations. * Excellent analytical, budgetary, managerial, computer, and administrative skills. * Superior customer service skills and employee relations. * Working knowledge of casino marketing functions to include sales, promotions, advertising,and public relations. * Strong supervisory/leadership abilities. * Current and valid driver’s license. * Must pass a pre-employment drug test and pass extensive background check. * Strong administrative, analytical and interpersonal skills. * Flexibility of working a variety of shifts including weekends and holidays. * Must be able to tolerate second hand smoke. * Must be able to work with little or no supervision.
Job Requirements: * Supervises and directs managers in the performance of their duties. * Determines and authorizes staffing level requirements. * Hires and develops management team to establish skilled, effective, and efficient operations including the authority in hiring, firing, suspension or other disciplinary decisions of casino staff. * Analyze casino historical data, income projections, and project goals to develop and maintain budgets. * Responsible for all financial aspects of the gaming operation including approving or denying capital expense requests. * Directs and reviews marketing objectives to enhance customer traffic and promote special events. * Plans, directs, and coordinates activities regarding management policy, internal control systems,financial and personnel management, guests and administrative services. * Obtains and maintains knowledge of and compliance with all applicable casino regulatory agencies, such as National Indian Gaming Commission (NIGC), Kansas State Gaming, and Iowa Tribe of Kansas and Nebraska Gaming Commission. * Complies with and enforces company approved and established policies and procedures * Reacts to regulatory changes in an efficient and systematic fashion while maintaining compliance. * Plans and develops employee and community public relations. * Performs other duties as assigned.
