Panhandle Eastern Pipe Line Company, a wholly owned subsidiary of Energy Transfer, has an opening at our Louisburg, Kansas, plant for a Project Crew Repairman. As an entry-level Repairman you will be trained in Panhandle Eastern Pipe Line Company’s Safety, Operation and Maintenance procedures related to plant and pipeline facilities and equipment.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Assisting in shutting down sections of pipeline, pipeline installations and repairs; performing leak surveys and operation of flame ionization detection equipment, effective use hand, power and specialty tools; maintenance of equipment and vehicles, the use of a computer and associated company applications. Qualified candidates should possess a high school education or equivalent. Candidates should have the physical abilities required to perform the essential elements of the position including shoveling, painting, heavy lifting, working in extreme high and low temperatures and general manual labor. Preferred qualities include a strong mechanical background, working knowledge of pipeline equipment, as well as the ability to read and understand piping schematics, drawings and operating procedures. The successful candidate will also be expected to progress to a semi-skilled position within 6 months, and a skilled position with 3 years. The successful candidate for this position must live within 50 miles of the plant, which is located at 29115 Metcalf Road, Louisburg, KS. The starting hourly pay for this position is $25.85 per hour with the potential to earn $38.00 per hour within 18 months. The position requires approximately 70-80% travel with a project crew, and the candidate is subject to call out during off duty hours including the weekend.
